Estonian National Scholarship programme for International students 2018 - 2019

General Principles:
1. The scholarship supports international students in their studies at the Estonian higher education institutions.
2. The scholarship can be applied for by the international students who wish to study at a higher education institution in Estonia during the 2018/2019 academic year at formal studies or as an exchange student.
3. The scholarship supports Master's and PhD studies in all fields. In the first stage of higher education, the scholarship can only be applied for fields that are related to Estonian language and culture.

Benefits:
1. The scholarship rate for the first stage studies and master's studies of higher education is 350 euros per month.
2. The scholarship rate for PhD studies is 660 euros per month.
3. Additional costs such as tuition fee, health insurance and other costs will not be compensated.

Eligibility Countries:
Group A countries (The People's Republic of China, Israel, Greece, Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey)
Group B Countries (United States of America, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Egypt, Philippines, Georgia, Spain, Croatia, India, Indonesia, Italy, Canada, Kazakhstan, The Republic of Korea, Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia, Mexico, Moldova, Portugal, France, Germany, Slovenia, Finland, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine, Hungary, Russia, and Vietnam.

Applications for Estonian National Scholarship are accepted from students from countries who are the citizens of one of the eligibility countries.

Required Documents:
1. Application form and motivation letter through online application system;
2. Confirmation of admission from the higher education institution in Estonia or confirmation of submission of required admission documents;
3. Copy of passport or ID-card.

Note: All documents should be in English or Estonian. Documents must be translated to any of these languages if the language of issuance is different.

How to Apply:
All required documents must be uploaded to the online application system. The entrance to the institution of higher education is separate from the application for the Estonian National Scholarship. The decision to award scholarship for the applicant does not guarantee his/her admittance to the HEI. The applicant should submit the required documents to the HEI according to the entrance requirements of the institution of higher education. The decision on admittance to the institution of higher education should be adopted before the payment of scholarship.
